Oriental filmfest of Geneva hosts ‘Funfair’

Iranian movie ‘Funfair’ has been at the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva in Switzerland.

The film directed by Kaveh Mazaheri has been displayed at the 2020 edition of the event.

The 15-minute flick narrates the story of a young married couple and their 5-year-old kid. Majid, the father of the family, is a financially struggling man. He comes up with a ploy in order to better the life of his wife, Sara.

The fact that he will be able to improve the situation or not and Sara will be patient enough or not is a matter of wondering.

Sonia Sanjari, Soroush Saeedi and Artin Rabiee are the cast members of the flick.

Mona Zandi-Haqiqi’s ‘African Violet’ was another Iranian film screened at the festival.

The FIFOG is an important cinematic event in the cultural landscape of French-speaking Switzerland, which promotes cinema, diversity and intercultural dialogue.

It annually presents 100 films of all genres, along with about 60 guests from around the world.

The undergoing edition of the FIFOG started on September 25 and will end on September 27, 2020.
